Burradoo Cottage Extension and Renovation.

An existing structure was converted into a two-bedroom, study, bathroom, laundry and an open-plan kitchen living area leading onto a covered, sandstone-flagged, alfresco area. Existing trusses created soaring internal ceilings and clever use of bulkheads were used to incorporate air conditioning ducting, wardrobes and breaks between ceiling levels. Existing timber barn doors and colonial panel windows were restored, and the window style was replicated in bedrooms and living areas. A disused stable was converted into a work shed, storage area and gymnasium, with the original rough-sawn weatherboards retained internally and externally. Landscaping includes hardwood pergolas and arbours, post and rail fencing, vegetable gardens, and screening hedges.
